TEACHING

Alongside my academic journey, I have blended my foundational knowledge with composer-related experience to offer unique perspectives in teaching. I also have substantial expertise as a pianist, encompassing professional experiences as both a solo performer and an ensemble player.

My practice research has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the Western art music field, and my life as a composer has further enriched my knowledge and skills as an educator in various subjects centered around music composition.

 

I have shared my knowledge with students, accumulating over 400 hours of teaching experience. My students have ranged from enthusiastic amateurs to aspiring professionals who were preparing to enter conservatories. As a teacher, I am dedicated to a student-specific approach, tailoring my methods to the unique abilities and experiences of each learner. I believe in creating a holistic, culturally enriching experience through music, fostering individual growth in musicianship while maintaining a playful and light-hearted atmosphere. I am experienced with one-on-one private tutoring as well as teaching group classes on theoretical subjects. During my teaching sessions, I bridge the gap between concrete practice methods and their underlying musical and kinesiological principles, encouraging a profound understanding of the "why" behind each concept. Above all, I hold the firm belief that through music, human beings can connect on a profound level and celebrate the inherent beauty of life.
